Ridiculous quote for such small job

I've had a new balustrade fitted, and looking to get it painted. Got 2 quotes, one being £150 just to paint, excluding the paint itself. It;s crazy, because we paid £160 to have the balustrade fitted (labour only) How do people charge so much for such small job.... We still looking around, but curious what other people think / paid for similar jobs thank you
